とても大きな本で，すごく重いです．B4サイズくらいで厚さが４ｃｍもあります．
さまざまな聖書が紹介されています．その聖書の特徴がわかる写真が大写しで掲載されています．書体も良くみえてわかりやすいですし，装飾についてもとてもわかりやすいです．とにかく写真が大きいのがうれしい本です．それに，さまざまな時代の写本装飾を１冊の本で見ることができて，このお値段は破格だと思います．中世の文字（ゴシック体など）や，装飾に関心のある方にとって，とても価値のある本だと思います．
英語ですが，写真が多いので眺めるだけ，あるいは図案など参考にするときに便利です．
